She has had the privilege of homeschooling her own children (23, 21, 16, 14) since 2010. Now that her students are older, Lori has been able to focus on her second career as an interior designer, where she specializes in space planning and project management. She and her family are thankful (except sometimes in the heat of August) to be living on a small hobby farm with chickens, sheep, and two extra-friendly farm cats. The cats are in charge.

Sara Hutchinson sarahutchinson@stonetablestudygroup.org --Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry.
Sara received her BA in Psychology from Southwest Baptist University (GO BEARCATS!!!) and, after working in various social services and alongside attorneys, was surprised by God’s calling to homeschool. Stone Table has been game-changing for her homeschool, both because of the academic support and the relationships with godly women who transparently share their journeys. Now beginning her seventh year teaching at STSG, she currently thinks factoring polynomials is so much fun she would do it in her spare time (if she had any!). Recognizing that so many kids feel defeated when it comes to math, she loves to encourage and cheer her students’ progress. All practice matters! She, her husband of 25 years, and their two children live in Harrisonville, MO, where Sara rarely cooks, often loses things, and relies daily on God’s grace.
Rachel Conner rachelconner@stonetablestudygroup.org --1900s Literature, Christian Worldview.
Rachel loves words, books, and the process of writing! She holds a bachelor's of journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, and worked as the Assistant Art Director of Salt Water Sportsman Magazine in Boston, before beginning the patchwork of houses and jobs of her adult life. During that time, she has been a better-than-Mary-Poppins nanny, a supermarket price-slashing warrior (think Wonderwoman in the canned goods aisle), the organizer of ten family moves to five states, and the wrangler of 10,000 homeschool books on 25 subjects. That is to say, she has homeschooled her kids since 2008. Her oldest child is a graduate of Missouri S&T, and her second is a student at the University of Missouri. The youngest is in high school and attends the Stone Table along with her. If she could do absolutely anything, Rachel would deliver a stand-up comedy routine to an audience of a thousand, attend a ball at Netherfield with all the characters of Pride and Prejudice, and paint a fence with Mark Twain even if she had to pay him for the privilege …and help every person on this planet to see that Jesus is the best friend anyone could ever have.
