STSG Classical Co-op

a weekly parent-assisted cooperative for ages 6 - 12 

-STSG Classical Co-op is a volunteer-based program where all parents stay on campus and work together to provide leadership and supervision for students

-To be eligible for first grade (and also for combined classes that include children who are designated as first grade), students should be age 6 by August 1st

-Kindergarten-aged children are eligible only if an older sibling is also enrolled 

-Preschool is available only when an older sibling is also enrolled 

-Meeting weekly on Mondays for 30 weeks from August 26, 2024 - April 28, 2025

-Daily schedule runs from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

-Classes in Language, Science, History/Geography, Art, Handicrafts, Memory Work Games and more

-Curriculum is integrated with the Claritas Memory Work System; the 24/25 school year will cover Cycle 2 

-Families are required to purchase the Claritas memory work guide OR a Claritas memory work subscription; see below 

-Field trips are offered throughout the year 

-Priority Enrollment:  Please note that students who enroll for a full day of classes will receive priority enrollment.  Part-time enrollment is available only for our afternoon classes.

Memory Work

Claritas Memory Work is used in most of our classes.  Note: Claritas welcomes the use of their memory work in co-ops and schools but asks that each family buys either a copy of the  Claritas Cycle 2 Memory Guide or sign up for a subscription to the Claritas online video program (recommended) Cost is $15 per month, discounted for full-time ministry, missionary, military and first-responder families.

Homework

Memory Review Sentences:  Students review memory sentences at home each week in Geography, History, Timeline, Science, Math, English Grammar, Scripture, and Hymns

Language:  Students read literature selections, and work with parents at home to complete grammar and writing exercises.  

History: Students read corresponding chapters in Story of the World by Susan Wise Bauer and complete history activities in class. 

Science::  Students read corresponding chapters from God’s Design Physical World by Debbie Lawrence and Richard Lawrence

Volunteer Requirement  

Parents are a vital part of our program and must be on the campus throughout the day to supervise and assist in classrooms.  

Volunteer duties include: class helper, recess monitor, set up, clean up, and other duties.

Enrollment Fees

The registration fee per student is $75 and is payable to Stone Table Study Group.  

Fees cover facility, insurance, and group supplies.

Preschool registration is $20 per child (available ONLY to younger siblings of enrolled children).


Supply Fees

If a class lists a separate supply fee, it is due upon registration and must be paid through our external registration site. Payment information will be entered when enrolling. Not all classes require a separate supply fee. 


Teacher Fees

The cost per class is listed on each class page and paid directly to the individual teacher in August. Many teachers offer payment plans. 

Stone Table does not collect or distribute class fees.
