Campus guidelines
Stay in designated areas: lunch areas, classrooms, study hall, with a parent in the parent hall, or with the teaching parent in their classroom. Students must be visible to an adult at all times. No sitting outside of the restrooms or in fall hall where the study hall teacher can not see you.
Walk quietly in halls due to classes in session.
Students may request a hall pass from their current teacher to leave during class.
Students may use the game room ONLY when authorized by STSG.
Open food and drink are to remain in the lunch areas (common area upstairs or outside).
Basketball cage is only available during lunchtime.
Lost and found items will be located in the foyer by the check-in desk. Items not claimed will be donated by the end of the year.
Students are not allowed to be in restrooms of the opposite biological gender.
There is to be no public displays of affection on site.
All electronics (i.e. computers, tablets, cell phones...) must be visible at all times. That means that if students are sitting against the wall in study hall or placing phones below tables they are not to be using electronics. (Students may turn to the side along the wall if they chose to sit there.) Refusal to comply will mean confiscation of the device to later be picked up by a parent.
Be respectful of the building and clean up after yourself.
Please remember your family obligations:
Teachers reserve the right to decline any student's request into a class based on past behavior or lack of class participation, ability, or completion of assignments.
All participants are to be in authorized locations only: classes or study hall, upstairs common area or courtyard for lunch, in a parent’s classroom, or with a parent in the parent area. If a student is given permission to leave a class, they should have that teacher’s ‘hall pass’. Those not complying may be reprimanded or disciplined.
Stone Table is a parent led organization, therefore volunteers are essential to STSG! All families are required to volunteer... Please keep your scheduled commitment. In case of an emergency or sickness, communicate with your volunteer coordinator ASAP to find a replacement.
Enrollment in STSG contractualizes you to a financial commitment. Please pay your student’s teachers on time, either in full or according to the payment plan. Class payments go directly to the teachers. STSG teachers reserve the right to unenroll students or restrict future enrollment in their classes due to tuition negligence.
The home-educating parent must provide oversight and engage with their student outside of STSG in regard to all subjects: assigned coursework, reading, writing, submitting work, following the class schedule, test or quiz study, and special projects.
Registration Notes
Secondary Academy is for 7th -12th grade. Please do not enroll students younger than 12 years without prior approval. Due to limited class sizes, please seek approval before placing a young junior high student in an upper level high school course. We try to keep those spots open for high school students who need the credit before graduation. Please be mindful of prerequisites and course expectations for each class. Students who are not prepared for a class should not be in the class, for their own sake!
When registering your student(s), please be ready with an alternate "plan B" choice in case your first choice is full. Check class schedules and descriptions:
If choosing a semester class, please make sure to choose a class for the alternate semester in the same time period if your student plans to stay on campus. Study Hall is an option. Students are limited to two study hall periods per year.
All families are required to volunteer.
Please be mindful of this commitment when enrolling. Please see Volunteer Information here. For questions or concerns, email ediemohn@stonetablestudygroup.org (subject line: new parent volunteer).
All students must be enrolled in a class to be in the facility unless the parent is on site to supervise.
Course registration is at the discretion of each teacher, regardless of initial processing of registration. Parents will be notified if students must be disenrolled. To avoid problems with course registration, please check the course prerequisites, any pre-registration testing that is required, and the level of expectations for the student. Teachers have the right to refuse a student for any reason, including previous student work quality and non-completion of homework assignments by the student.
